... until Daddy comes home from Iraq for a short visit!
While Sarah, Maggie, and Kate were taking an actual nap *gasp* this afternoon, Ella worked hard cutting, stapling, and even making "patteruns" part of the time. The finished product was this great paper chain with a link for every day until Scott is home for his R&R.
She had such a great time making the chain that she's not too keen on tearing off a link each day.... we'll see how that goes tomorrow.

I know the girls are excited about a Daddy visit. Good luck with the paper chain.
VERY cool!! It gives her a visual and something thats "hers". I can only imagine what you all are feeling. Thank you again for all your sacrifices to our nation. WE LOVE YOU!
Sarah
Wow! What a great idea. Hopefully she will be willing to tear a link off each so she can see the time getting shorter. She does look very proud of it.
Very cute! We miss seeing you guys every week at Kindermusik.
What a great way for the girls to count down the days until Daddy is home and congrats on getting the little three down for a nap!

Was that your own idea?? It's a really neat way to count down ANYTHING!!
I'd love to share it sometime on Sonbeams if you wouldn't mind - I could send credit back to you.

Oh that is exciting - I hope you all have a wonderful visit.
We counted down like that to the babies birth - it's amazing that you do actually get through all those days! I'm praying they will be smooth and restful :)
Wonderful News!!!!
My Princess loves to make "patteruns" too and that is exactly how she says it.
