No Naps for Us

I know my posts have been sporadic for the last week or so, but I am battling once again with girls who just won't nap during the day. This makes for hectic, frazzled days and short nights. Elizabeth Pantley graciously offered me a copy of her book No Cry Nap Solution last month to review, so I'm going to retire early tonight and see if I can't get some ideas that will help out around here.

Ella had given up naps almost completely by this age, but I know Maggie, Kate, and Sarah aren't ready. I know it with some certainty because yesterday two of them were asleep in my arms by 5:30pm and they were all in bed by 5:40pm... for the night! And they slept until just before 7am this morning. I guess if I have to we can learn to live this way, but they are so grumpy and grouchy in the afternoons that I don't know what to do with them.

Here's hoping the No Cry Nap Solution Book will provide some new insights to this really tired mom!! I'm looking forward to having this all figured out so that I can catch the blog up with all the wonderful and funny things that are going on around here in the mornings while they are somewhat rested.

Why haven't I out-grown naps?

I've tagged you for a fun "Meme".
Check it out on today's post.
Love to you all,
K

Good luck with the nap situation. I hope the book can give you some insight so you can have your funny, cute little girls in the afternoons as well as the mornings.

Mary Beth,
I'm so glad you posted this. We are having serious nap issues and I'm glad to know we're not alone.

Please share anything that works!

Mary Beth I hope you get some good advice from the book. I had to adjust nap time back abit when we were having problems.
I hate the thought of no nap. Hang in there. :) Maybe it will just be a short phase.

Thanks for leaving a comment.
I think the venting part is why I decided to do the sugar mommy blog in addition to the little beauties. it does help to know there are other mommas like me out there! i guess we have to lean on each other.
i enjoy reading your blog too! just started following.
hopefully we can get to know each other though our blogs. I pray for you and your family with your husband being away right now.
love,
kimberly

I need a copy of that book!!! My little boy protests every nap! I keep telling him 9month old babies still need naps. Well, mommy still needs them to!
