One of the blogs I check out regularly is Bloggy Giveaways. Sometimes I enter the giveaways, but more often than not I just look because I'm fascinated with mom owned small businesses, and that's the type of company she usually promotes. If you haven't ever checked out this blog you should definitely take a look!
This week Bloggy Giveaways is hosting their Quarterly Giveaway Carnival. I have perused the entries in quarters past and found some great new blogs to read.... like I need to be reading more blogs!?! But this time I've decided to host a give away of my own.
Trying to decide what to give away was quite tough because I wanted whatever I did offer to be something that says a little bit about our blog. I am a nut when it comes to reading and studying up on kids. Even though I try to do most of my parenting based on my own intuition, I am interested to hear what the "experts" have to say about things. Some of my recent favorite reads in this department are: Sacred Parenting by Gary Thomas, Love and Logic Magic for Early Childhood by Jim and Charles Fay, The Read-Aloud Handbook by Jim Trelease, The Happiest Toddler on the Block by Harvey Karp, and the one I mentioned in yesterday's post How to Get Your Kid to Eat... But Not Too Much by Ellyn Satter.
After I decided to give away a book, I realized that I have an extra copy of The Happiest Toddler on the Block by Harvey Karp here already. Now, I'll admit that some of the tactics in this book I found to be a little cooky, but there were also some great tips and tricks I've found for dealing with my house full of toddlers. So, the perfect giveaway from our house with one happy preschooler and 3 of the happiest toddlers you'd ever hope to meet was decided upon!
To enter your name in the drawing for this book, simply leave a comment on this post (being sure to include your email address or another easy way for me to reach you) letting me know which parenting books you enjoy. I'll randomly draw a winner Friday night and announce that winner here Saturday morning. (U.S. & Canada addresses only, please.) And be sure to visit Bloggy Giveaways to check out the giveaway carnival -- there's a whole bunch of giveaways going on throughout the blogosphere this week, and who knows, you might find a new favorite blog or two?!?

Considering my toddler now, I would love a chance to read this book. I'm glad you found an extra copy to offer for a giveaway. Thanks! :)
My baby just graduated from baby to toddler, so I need this book. Thanks.
I actually don't have a parenting book for toddlers other than some medical one and What to Expect the Toddler Years (not a fan of that book or series)!
Thank you for a chance to win!
You're so sweet to do all the giveaways! Thanks for all the links and info...
Your blog is precious! So are your girls.
I don't need a toddler book...my babes are all teens.
But....I would love to share another great book that has been a wonderful addition to my parenting book list.
Lisa Welchel's "Creative Correction". This book is a MUST-HAVE for what will surely come your way.
Love her.....she's totally awesome!
Oh I would love that book! I have an 18 month old and it's my first child so anything to help me along would be great!!
My baby is almost seven months old and I'd love to have this on hand! We don't really have any parenting books yet, unless you count breastfeeding and what to expect books... Would love to start our collection!

all I have are pregnancy books and tiny baby books! NOW..I have a 14 month old..so a toddler book would be awesome! Thanks for the chance!
My favorite parenting books are Love and Logic by Jim Faye. He has them for the "early years" all the way to teenagers. I used them in my first grade classroom when I taught and loved them.
I'm always up for new ideas and would love to check out the book you are giving away.

I love Grace Based Parenting by Tim Kimmel. What a treat to win! Thanks! cross_home2001 (at) yahoo (dot) com
My favorite parenting is "Baby 411." I think I read the thing cover to cover when I was pregnant with my toddler. I also have the baby sleep book by Dr. Sears, but I found that most of the info didn't really apply to our situation, but there were some helpful hints.
Thank you for the giveaway!

I thought I had it hard! I had 4 aged 3 and under--twins in the middle, and a surprise a year later--the oldest just turned 5. I actually don't have any parenting books to recommend--I've read very few.
