5 Years Old

We celebrated Maggie, Kate, and Sarah's birthday a few weeks ago with family and some of their preschool classmates. At their request we did the usual... pool/ water slide party with cake and ice cream. They each wanted something completely different in the way of cake, so we had pound cake with blue icing, pound cake with chocolate icing and sprinkles, and strawberry pound cake with strawberries on top. The cakes were yummy if I do say so myself!

I'm not sure if it is because they are kindergartners now or because they are 5 or what, but the girls amaze me daily with how grown up they suddenly seem. There are no traces of baby left, but I sure am enjoying the company of these little ladies now!

Amazingly, after being in class with the same 17 other kids for going on 3 weeks now, their classmates didn't even realize that Maggie, Kate, and Sarah were sisters until I took cupcakes in on Friday to celebrate their birthdays at school. To me that speaks volumes about how well they are doing in one classroom all together.
