Oh the Things We Hear Around Here

I've put some thought lately into why I've fallen off in my blogging duties... it certainly isn't lack of material coming from the mouths of these four silly gals we're raising! If anything, our house has been more dramatic and comical than ever these last 3 months, and yet I have still not posted Disney pictures from early November or Christmas photos, etc, etc.

I suppose it could be the extra time off that Scott has had. We've been enjoying dates and dinners together and just hanging out more trying to catch up from his being gone last year. Or it could be that I'm still recovering from the holidays and all the preparations, or the fact that since I quit posting here regularly I've taken up couponing and I'm slightly obsessive about it. I'm also spending time reading again. I just finished up The Accidental Billionaires about the creators of Facebook... very interesting stuff, and before that eat, pray, love (I'm way behind in my reading list).

But for all my pondering I just can't figure out what is truly keeping me from blogging. I guess I won't over analyze I'll just keep trying to post when I can, catch up in the photo posting department for posterity (that's what the girls will want to see anyway), and see what happens.

For now I'll leave you with a couple of the silliest things I heard yesterday.

At the supper table last night each of the girls took a turn saying a short blessing before the meal. Ella went last and hers started out sweet enough. "Deuh God, Thank you for the peace... (insert extremely long dramatic pause which caused me to believe she was actually meaning world peace)... and quiet from my sisters that I get on the days I go to preschool." I tried my hardest not to laugh out loud!

After dinner Kate and Sarah went missing for a few minutes while I was finishing kitchen clean up. I followed a trail of their clothes into the bathroom and found them in the tub, naked and high five-ing each other while cheering about getting a "semi- pwivate bath, semi- pwivate bath, semi-pwivate bath".

And as if we needed more comic relief here, Maggie has been bouncing around the house for the last 3 days singing, "Who let the dogs out... who, who, who?" THANK YOU Just Dance! She loves dogs and takes the song both seriously and literally. Hilarious, and some day I'll capture her dancing to the Wii game on video.

Until then...

They are so funny! Love the prayer and the "semi-pwivate bath".

This is really cute! You could write a book of all the things that come out of their mouths. I'm glad to hear that others have the same trail of clothes in their house too.
