We came prepared with bags for them to collect their loot in... which I stealthily slipped into the backpack after everyone had chosen their one favorite piece, and it is all still sitting on top of the fridge 5 days later.
The really didn't enjoy the loud sirens on the fire trucks as they passed by, but other than that we had a great time.
Ella found a few things to investigate while she waited. The funniest thing I heard all day long was when the adult beside Ella picked some candy up off the street and offered it to her. Ella looked at it and said, "No thanks. I don't eat that candy... it's got red dye in it." The lady looked a little puzzled, but didn't persist.
While I was searching to see if we had attended the Eggstravaganza parade last year (it's a good thing I've got this blog... or else I couldn't "remember" anything) I found these cute photos and Easter Greetings from 2008. Enjoy! I can't believe these girls are really not babies anymore...

What a difference a year makes! Glad you all had a great time at the parade.
Glad the parade was a hit! I still can't get over what a difference a year makes. I am just amazed when I look back through our pictures.
