Moving on to the adorable hats... (skip over all the blah, blah, blah for super cute pics if you are pressed for time)
After a pretty good day with no sickness whatsoever, the girls opened several Valentine gifts from their grandparents and great grandparents yesterday. Mail delivery has been a highlight for them this week. Then last night they all went straight off to sleep with absolutely no problems. I counted my blessings and prepared for my Thursday night Bible study group to come over.... oh, how I love that group of ladies (they are a blog post unto themselves~ another day). We had a delightful time and ended up hanging out until almost 11pm last night.
Then the little black cloud came back this morning when I woke up before the girls feeling not quite myself. I hoped and prayed that the stomach virus was just threatening and would not really come back for me after being gone for over 24 hours.... but no. I will go on record here and say that I'm not quite sure which would have been worse... being sick along with them or after they are all well and feeling like running all over the place, destroying things because I am not helping to facilitate getting all that energy out. Worst of all, when I made my desperate call to Mimi, my go to lady with everything involving the girls, I found her in much worse shape than myself this morning. Today was long. The girls and I suffered through it alone until 5pm when Donna picked them all up. The house is destroyed, but I am feeling much, much better now.
That is all I'll say about that because yesterday while we were all still feeling fine we had a little photo shoot with these great new hats that the girls got from Scott's grandmother. She made them herself, and they couldn't be more perfect for our four little frilly girls. I'm hoping that all these adorable pictures in our new hats will more than make up for the "reality" of my previous post.
Sarah looks like a little turtle in her hat, but she loves it!
Kate was really workin' the hat... along with the fake jewels on her shirt.
Ella loved hers and took her role as senior member of the Four Silly Sisters to new heights when we were rounding up the girls for this photo shoot.

very cute! I hate that you were sick. Being sick and having to simi function a a parent is the worst and I only have 1 kid not 4. Bless you and hope you feel better soon. Oh, and don't feel quilty about unloading your drama on the blog...I love when people "keep it real". That and humor are my two favorite traits.
Those hats are adorable! What a priceless treasure from their great-grandma! I hope you are feeling better soon.
Oh my! Those hats are so, so cute! What a great gift.
MB-I hope you are feeling better. Those hats are great. The girls look great. I think Miss Ella is starting to look more grown up, turning into quite a beautiful young lady. I love ALL of the pictures, so, thanks for sharing.
Finally, I don't think you should apologize for anything you write about. I certainly never take the "reality" posts as a pity party. It is just that, reality. I love reading all of your posts, good or bad.
Just my 2 cents. :)
Very cute hats! I love them. I hope you are feeling better. Take care.
Oh that's adorable - thanks for putting a smile on my face! I hope you all are feeling better.
Ahhh, that stomach virus...it hunts you down like a dog and devours your insides! I would rather have a cold for two weeks than a stomach virus for 24 hours. Glad to know everyone is better. Enjoy your blog so much!
