These are just a couple of snippets of the funny and thoughtful things coming from Sarah these days:
After chatting with Scott via Skype on the computer a few days ago Sarah looked up at me and said, "Now, let's go to Iraq and see my REAL Daddy!"
She pointed a crooked little finger at me yesterday morning and adamantly said, "Mom, you need to give me some Ty-nol.... cuz I MEAN!!"
Sarah now has her "one size fits all" answer to every WHY question that is asked in our house- Maggie wanted to know why the Christmas tree was green, and Sarah said, "Be-cus that's how God made it." nevermind that it's artificial Ella asked why Honey Nut Cheerios are sweeter than plain, and Sarah said, "Be-cus that's how God made them." um....okay?!? Kate asked why Sarah got to wear the pink shirt one morning, and Sarah said, "Be-cus that's how God made me." ... finally one I can agree with
And the final tidbit is not only Sarah material, they all acted this way. After the big hoopla with the small pink tree that the girls decorated themselves, when we finally put up our big family tree this past weekend, the girls eagerly greeted everyone at the door to tell the good folks about it. They would say "come see our new Chismas tree, it's GREEN".... because, the color green (even for a tree) is such a novelty in this house. ha, ha, ha

I love these post. Your girls are such a hoot.
i'm so impressed with their communication skills. i am always stunned by what your girls say already.
we are seeing huge leaps in language over here. at two years they were only putting a couple words together. now, two months later they can sing whole songs like twinkle twinkle little star. it is fun to see what your girls are doing and realize that it won't be long before my gang catches up. i just quit my part time job so i'm hoping being home more will help as well. their nanny speaks only spanish so i think that delays progress a bit because they are trying to sort out everything in two languages
TOo cute! We have those same pj's. I always think they look like chocolate cupcakes with sprinkles!
hi
have been reading ur blog for a while. I need a clarification. Are the three girls identical? I often find it difficult to distinguish between them.
I love Sarah's "one size fits all" answer to questions. It reminds me of the kids at church who regardless of the question during the children's message always respond with "Jesus". Of course, nine times out of ten, they are correct. Your little girls are so cute and so full of personality.
Jennifer- I'm sure that any language delays your guys have is from learning two languages at once. They will catch up and what a great benefit there is to being able to speak two languages these days!!
Anon- Maggie and Kate are identical and Sarah is fraternal. We jokingly refer to them as a pair and a spare.... though really I swear that Sarah is Ella's identical twin separated somehow by 17 months!
Hey thanks...
Still I find it difficult to make out who is who... all r soooo cute...
oh my! this made me giggle- and who doesn't need a good giggle now and then?
thanks for your prayers
If only Tynol could cure mean...
So cute, kids really do say such amazingly cute and funny things. I wish tylenol could cure everything especially mean, but more than that I wish your hubby could be home with you and your beautiful girls. Saying prayers for you guys as you go through the holiday season. God bless'1
I love the pink tree. They sell some crazy colored trees in France (black?, turquoise) and it makes me smile that they are so happy with the little things. From the mouths of babes...
