The girls had a blast swimming at Mimi and Pop's, as usual. Maggie, Kate, Sarah, & Ella all really have Kay-Kay and Kelli wrapped around their little fingers because they were both willing to stay in the pool so the girls could keep swimming long after the other adults had bailed... thus allowing me to catch a few photos.
We had a low country boil for dinner at Mimi and Pop's house, and this was the view from the cabana out by the pool. Everyone was shoveling the food in, alright! There's just not anything that I can think of that my dad, or Pop Dickie as the girls call him, can't cook.
And Scott caught these three little turkeys shoveling in the home made vanilla ice cream that Mimi served for dessert. I'm pretty sure uncle Joe was the one who fixed their cups... lots more than Scott or I would have put in there for sure! Thanks Uncle Joe!
Meanwhile, Maggie was outside the fence preparing to water the flowers... or her sisters, which ever she could reach first! She is such a little trouble maker, but very cute while working.
Later, we posed for Dad to take some photos of all us girls in Mimi's flower garden. I think this was picture number 147 for the evening. There is lots of weeding to do when you use a digital camera, and I don't mean in the flower garden.
Kate showed off her love of hats and stole Pop Dickies' to wear for a while. She loves to have her picture taken. I think she actually glows when there is a camera in her vicinity.
So the fact that Daddy was nearby with the camera was reason enough for her to grab my neck and give me a huge squeeze (practically winking at the camera all the while), but I'll take whatever I can get!
My absolute favorite pictures from the night were a couple of what we jokingly refer to as our two sets of twins... no they aren't really twins, but it is becoming more difficult by the day to tell it, especially in the ways they act!

As always such adorable pictures. But what else can you do when you have such beautiful little girls?!
Looks like everyone had fun. I hope everyone is now feeling 100% better. I love the pictures. The picture of you and the girls in the flowers was great.
You have some great photos in there and I love the one of Kate giving you a big squeeze. Looks like plenty of fun was had over the holiday weekend in spite of the colds and fevers.
Looks like you guys had a great 4th of July weekend!
Hi, just popping in from Faith Lifts blogroll!
What a cute family....what a surprise pregnancy! :o) How neat!
Blessings
Hi MaryBeth! I answered your swiss chard question on my blog, but I'll put it here too so you don't have to read through my comments.
I like to just steam the swiss chard and eat it with a little bit of salt. The kids love it too, and get second and third helpings! It is also good in soups, like wedding soup. You can pretty much use it like spinach. It has a more subtle flavor than spinach. I like it better.
Cute photos in this post! I like the one with her on your back, even if she's just doing it for the camera!
I love the photos! I hope the colds are gone. We started them last weekend and they just don't seem to want to go away! I think my next post will be tales from snotville!
I love the Ice Cream picture. You have such a beautiful family.
