So sorry.... long time, no post. I'm not sick, just super busy. The girls are funnier than ever these days. The things that I hear and witness on a daily basis are just cracking me up.
Yesterday I was refilling water cups for Kate and Maggie. I walked by the couch where Sarah was lounging (on someone probably, but I don't remember who for sure) and asked if she would like more water too. She shook her little cup, looked up, and said, "No fanks, got plenty."
Sarah also says, "not sure", "can't"~ especially when asked to apologize to someone for hurting them, "fank so, or don't fank so"~meaning I think so, or don't think so, and tons of other little sayings.
Maggie is quite the little pool dare devil. She loves to jump in from the "die boa" or diving board, and she loves to do the "rocky shish" which is a little game we play in the pool where I toss her around letting her body dip into the water... we adults call it rocky fish.
One night early this week after the girls were ready for bed, we were all relaxing in the living room. Donna, Mimi, and I were sitting with the girls in our laps. Everyone was either reading or sitting quietly... winding down. Out of the blue Kate got a little gleam in her eye and intentionally "tooted". I was pretty sure she had done it on purpose, but since ours is a house full of girls and daddy finds NO HUMOR in those kinds of things, I have no idea where she learned this nifty new trick! I asked her if she tooted on purpose, to which she jumped out of her seat and replied "es" while doing it again! I was shocked. So was Maggie, apparently, who immediately hopped down and earnestly began trying out her own skills. With a concentrated effort and the face to prove it, Maggie was unsuccessful in all her attempts to "toot" at will. After she tried for a few minutes, she looked admiringly at Kate and said, "too hard ta do". Mimi, Donna, and I laughed until we cried.
To make up for the in poor taste antics told above, I'd also like to note that all the girls are really "blessing my heart" these days, as Ella says. We always try to model good manners for them. We say please, thank you, and no thank you when we are speaking to each other and to them. Ella has very nice manners when it suits her. It is finally beginning to sink in with the little ones as well. I can tell because I am often blessed to hear them tell each other "fanks, no fank you, pwease". They can be complete barbarians to each other one minute and polite as little ladies at a tea party the next.
I am so blessed! Thank you girls.

How funny! I can't wait to see your little "tootsies" tomorrow! I guess they will have lots to teach little Emma Grace...from GREAT manners...to, well you know..."toots"!
That is too funny. Kids are so honest and you can't help but laugh at them.
Raegan likes to announce it when she that does that, she'll say "I tooted" and laugh about it. I thought it was only little boys who did those kinds of things, shows what I know!
That's hilarious!
Please forgive me for adding my own! We never told Everett a word for "toot". He came up with his own when he was really little: "poopy noise". The other day we were out shopping. I STILL haven't told him another word for it I guess. He said "I just made a poopy noise. But it wasn't a noise." I asked him what it was. He thought for a moment, then said "a poopy bubble". I love their creativity, but I think I better tell him a better word for it :)
She probably got it from hanging around my boys on Friday. Standing date it is! I am super pumped about the lake this Friday if the weather works. Oh and I have got to keep up with you on blogging. Ha Ha.

Bad taste, maybe. Hilarious, definetly!! I sure wish my trio would start talking.
