While we were there, my girls had their first dip in the pool for the summer. I guess technically their first dip this year was in the ocean on our trip to Hilton Head Island, but last night was their first time in the pool. They had a blast climbing from the hot tub (while it was warming up- NOT after it reached it's final temperature) to the pool and back. The pool had a great big walk in area so they were able to play without too much assistance from us adults.... they've all got a bad case of do it my own self -itis these days. Armed with their floaties and the watering cans they played until they were purple and shivering.

They all love the water, and hopefully by the end of this summer they will be little water bugs. Maggie woke up this morning saying, "Go swim Mimi's pool." They usually love going to church on Sunday's, but they were all a little disappointed when we put on dresses instead of swimming suits today.
After lunch they did get a chance to take another quick dip at Mimi's before we came home for naps. Between swimming last night and then again this afternoon, I am reminded of just how tired and hungry swimming always makes a person. They girls ate like a pack of wolves last night after we got them out of the water and have slept very, very well both last night and this afternoon.... including big sis who had pretty much given up napping altogether since sometime last fall.

Too Cute! That first picture is award winner if you ask me. I am so glad you guys are enjoying summer thus far and I can only imagine how good it is for you and the 4 cuties to get out of the house.
Hi!
Your girls are so sweet! I've seen your blog before but I guess I didn't bookmark it and never found my way back til now. Thanks for your comment on mine. Yes, our trips are almost the same age ;). Mine were born August 5th. What it's like to have both boys and girls? Well, I don't know what to compare to, but I have to say that currently the boys take up a lot of emotional and physical space. Not sure why. They just seem needier. My girl is totally a mommy's girl though, so we spend a lot of time and snuggles together too...
I can't wait til it's warm enough where we live to get in the pool. Lots of fun times ahead! Take care!
I found my way here from Tanya. What sweet girls you have. That looks like a blast!
Such great water pictures - I have to work on that :)
Yesterday we tried the life jacket kind of floaties and they didn't work that great - the girls did much better with them off. Today we're going to try the arm floaties...
It is so great that all four love the water and so great that you have easy access to a nice pool over at Mimi's. What better way to spend the summer?
Looks like fun! It is wonderful how hungry and tired pool time makes them, isn't it?
I loved the pics! I'm trying to convince my hubby for us to get out more. I have much more luck with my SIL, my mom & the nanny on the days she is here.

What a wonderful family!
That first photo is priceless! It's great to see those kids having fun, and they're not even mine! I'm looking forward to pulling out our little kiddie pool.
These pictures are GREAT! You are so lucky to have your own pool. How fun! Thanks for sharing.
